In 2004, a dozen artists or so, animated by a desire of getting closer to each other and working together, decided to take steps, in order to acquire a common living space, right in the heart of Montreal’s urban activity. In October 2011, the members of Housing Co-op Radar were finally able to take possession of the 47 units in their new building right in the heart of the Gay Village.
Destined to artists and cultural workers, Radar is a housing co-op whose goal is to offer its members the best possible housing conditions, and a way of life that focuses on values of solidarity, mutual help and fairness.
Member’s selection in our housing co-op is attributed to a selection committee that manages the list of applicants, in agreement with the law, our regulations and our needs. We ask that people wishing to apply, or get more information, visit our web site where all the details can be found, regarding apartments, steps to be taken to become a member, the mission and history of Radar. Please do not hesitate to secure a spot on our waiting list.
