FECHIMM invites its members to a Working Group and an extraordinary general assembly, Saturday, November 23 at Centre Saint-Pierre.

The 2019 edition of the Working Group will allow members of housing co-ops to examine issues that are fundamental to the health of their collective enterprise and the sustainability of the co-operative housing network. Through five thematic workshops and exchanges within a broader framework, members will be invited to imagine responses to the challenges of managing large cooperatives, the need to adapt toaging in co-ops,the increased role that intercooperation can play in the vitality of housing co-operatives, the financing tools, and the integration of information technologies in the management of co-operatives.

A new name for FECHIMM

November 23 will end with the holding of an extraordinary general meeting beginning at 3:45 pm. Following the decision of the members to extend the territory to the province of Quebec at the 2019 AGM, the delegates will be asked to vote on the Federation's new official name in response to the Quebec Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation request to change the name of the Federation to reflect the new territory served.

The proposal to be submitted by the Board of Directors will also plan to keep the name Fédération des coopératives d'habitation intermunicipale du Montréal métropolitain (FECHIMM)) to be used as another name used at the Registraire des entreprises.
Housing co-op members will be able to read the proposal of the board of directors by consulting documentation joined to the notice of meeting which will besent this week and published on the FECHIMM website.
